Look Bracelets come in a variety of styles and materials from rubber to metal fabric. A rubber bracelet needing replacement can be removed in a few simple steps, with a new band and put in place. While some work pieces require professional service, the band like 19mm rubber watch band is a piece of this accessory that can be changed without taking the watch to a jeweler.
Instructions
1. Place the watch on a towel or mat to stabilize it while working and avoid scratching the glass.
2. Locate the spring bar by holding the rubber band, pulling the edge of the band back gently with your fingers. The spring bar rests between the case pin, or two teeth, coming out of the watch case.
3. Insert the spring bar remover or a screwdriver into the end of the spring bar and apply pressure in. There is a small collar on the spring bar and small tooth that is inserted into the ear. When compressing the spring bar, it will come out of the ear. Slide the spring bar out of the sleeve at the end of the band and lay on the towel. Repeat for the opposite side of the bracelet. Once the spring bar comes free, you can remove the watch bracelet.
4. Slide a spring bar into the sleeve at the end of the new bracelet. If the band came with a set of new spring bars, use those.Place the spring bar on the depression tab on one end of the watch case. Press on the other end of the spring bar, either with the spring bar tool or the screwdriver. Slide the other hitch until it clicks into place. Gently pull the bracelet to make sure it is in place. Repeat this on the opposite end of the new bracelet.
